Herbs In Action:
- Yerba Santa leaf: Eriodictyon spp. (californicum, angustifolium, crassifolium, and trichocalyx)means "sacred herb" and was traditionally revered in its native California for its powerful health benefits. Today it is used to support a healthy histamine response, promote optimal immune function, normalize mucus membranes, and calm runaway mucus production.
- Echinacea Purpurea root: Native to areas east of the Rocky Mountains in the US, Echinacea purpurea supports the body's natural immune response and immune system wellness. Echinacea provides seasonal immune support and supports a healthy histamine response, promoting comfort during seasonal changes.
- Nettle leaf: Urtica dioica is most known as a common weed. It is a deeply nourishing tonic and helps support a healthy histamine response.
- Yerba Mansa root: Anemopsis californica is an aromatic, spicy plant native to the southwest United States. Native communities and settlers revered it for its many health benefits. An astringent plant, it helps support optimal inflammatory response and mucus membranes.
- Elderflower: Sambucus nigra can nourish the skin with nutrients and oxygen, promoting a healthy and radiant complexion. Elderflower contains vitamin C, which can help defend skin against environmental aggressors like pollution and UV rays.
- Elderflower: Sambucus nigra is native to Europe and now naturalized in parts of the United States. This light and delicate herb with honey-scented flowers makes it suitable for kids and adults alike. Elderflower supports the body's natural ability to eliminate waste and encourage a healthy microbial balance and immune response. It may also help support healthy body temperature, soothes sinuses, and supports a healthy inflammatory response in the sinuses during seasonal changes.
- Horseradish Root: The root of Armoracia rusticana supports healthy respiratory function; Horseradish has an affinity for the sinuses, opening up the pathways and eases congestion in the upper and lower respiratory tract.
- Orange peel: Citrus sinensis plays a very important role in this powerful histamine-balancing formula. It directs the partnering herbs' movement by binding to bitter receptor points and moving herbs quickly around the body. The bitter compounds, like tannins and organic citric or malic acids move throughout our lymphatic systems, however they begin their work with the bitter signals in the mouth called 25 T2R receptors.
